How many legs for a 180 cm Ikea Besta?

How many legs do I nead for a Ikea Besta furniture. I am going to join 1 piece of 60 cm with another of 120 cm. Total = 180 cm. My question is do I need 6 or 8 legs? In the picture its seams you can use either 6 or 8.

Thank you

  • Hi Violeta,

    Thank you for your message.

How many legs you will attach for this combination, depends on weight and what design you want for your furniture. As a minimum, we recommend six legs (one leg in each corner and then two legs where you will join the two units). Then you can choose to add one or two legs as support legs in the middle on the 120 cm unit.

We recommend at least one support leg, but if you think it's more symmetrical with two in the middle, you can of course choose that.

Please let us know if you have some more questions.

  • Hi, Amanda,
    Thanks for the qick reply.
So for a 180 cm Besta, 8 legs are enough, right?
2 in each corner of the Besta 180 cm (4 legs in total)
Another 2 in the middle of the 120 cm, and another 2 between the 120 cm module and the 60 cm module. right? In total = 8 legs

When you buy the legs you buy them by unit, right?. For example: 1 Estelle 170 legs price is 21 €. Each leg is 21 €.

    Do you ship to Spain?

    Wait for you answer.

    Thanks again

  • Hi again Violeta,

Yes, eight legs in total will be fine for this unit and place them as you explained above. Yes, and then you add 8 legs to your cart by using the plus - sign. We ship worldwide, including Spain.

Just let us know if you have some more questions.

    All the best,

  • Hello, which Besta do you get? The wall cabinet or the one that already has legs (and you unscrew and replaces those?) Would you provide a link?
  • Hello Molly,

    Thank you for your question.

Sorry, do not really understand your question. We offer furniture legs for both IKEA furnitures as well as most of non-IKEA furnitures. Please explain a little more if you have some questions about our furniture legs etc and we will help you further.

    All the best,

    Amanda Grundberg
