Do you offer furniture legs for IKEA MALM dresser?

I have an IKEA Malm dresser (6-drawer) that is love to get off the floor! Which if your legs do you recommend for that model?

  • Hello Monica,

    Thank you for your question.

The Malm dresser from IKEA has a frame underneath, but unfortunately not all the way around (please see attached picture).

In order to attach our legs onto a furniture without pre-drilled holes for M8 bolts you need to use our universal fitting plates. These fittings should be fasten directly into a flat, wooden surface or to the corners of a wooden frame. This can be solved if you mount an extra wooden board underneath the Malm drawer, then you will be able to attach the mounting plates and Prettypegs.

Furthermore, we strongly advise you to follow the general recommendations with storage units to also fasten the furniture piece to the wall, to prevent it from the possibility to tip over.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    All the best,

  • Which legs work for the malm dresser?
    Kira Bensimon
  • Hi Kira,

Thank you for your question. No legs work for Malm dresser unless you rebuild it a bit. See above. If you do this you can add all legs that are not higher the 230mm.

  • Hi, could you please advise how thick the wooden board should be? Also I guess it has to cover the whole base so for instance for a 160 x 48 Malm drawer it has to be this size? Grateful for a speedy answer

  • Hi again Kerstin,

To get an exact answer to the dimension of IKEA furniture, we refer to IKEA's customer service that can help you with exact measurements, ie how thick the board needs to be.

We hope they can help you further in this matter as soon as possible.

    Best regards,
